Uncanny Valley - A Supernatural Indie Horror Game

Uncanny Valley is a 2D pixel-art indie horror game that recreates the gloomy atmosphere of supernatural thrillers like Silent Hill, Twin Peaks, and Stranger Things. The game is set in a cold, rainy area during autumn and winter and features dark, claustrophobic levels, and creepy horror synth/dark ambient music. The game has a nonlinear plot that depends on the player's choices. The protagonist is Tom, a security guard at a secret facility, who suffers from narcolepsy and often falls asleep, losing the edge between reality and fantasy. The game recommends the player to replay it several times to discover all possible plotlines and endings.

Uncanny Valley's gameplay is centered on Tom's daily watchman's job as he patrols the secret research facility and learns its dark secrets. Occasionally, Tom will fall into his nightmares and have to run away from shadowy enemies. Tom cannot sprint for too long before his stamina runs out, but the protagonist cannot die, and there are no Game Overs.
